Bernard Ross is Director
of The Management Centre (=mc). =mc
is the international training and consultancy organization which exists to
transform the effectiveness of not-for-profit organizations worldwide. With
training and consulting clients around the world, Bernard dazzled
participants with his presentation skills, knowledge and humour at the 1997
and 1998 NSFRE (Greater Toronto Chapter) Congresses. Bernard is one of
Europe's leading authorities on fundraising and management in the
not-for-profit sector. For over 18 years he has advised NGOs, public sector
and cultural organizations on fundraising issues.
He has acted as a
consultant for organizations as diverse as WHO and the Swedish Ministry of
Culture, and from WWF International to the President's Office in Egypt.
Recent projects include
consultancy in the UK's largest ever campaign to raise $500M USD in two
years and helping to organize the first telethons and direct mail in
Ethiopia.
Bernard has helped raise
money from public bodies, foundations and corporations worldwide - including
several single gifts of $20M USD. His
specialties are fundraising strategy, breakthrough work and working with
VHVD (very high value donors).
He has written and
published widely on strategy and leadership.
Bernard is a keynote
speaker at international fundraising workshops in Europe, Asia, North and
Central America. At The Management Centre, he has helped develop an
international network of franchise and partner organizations able to deliver
world class consultancy and training on an international basis. The current
partner network extends to Mexico, Canada, Ethiopia, Costa Rica and New
Zealand.
