Fundraising Executives Toronto Chapter.
Since 1995, Nicholas Offord has been President of Mount Sinai Hospital
Foundation of Toronto and Vice-President, Mount Sinai Hospital. In these
capacities he is responsible for al institutional development including the
execution of Mount Sinai's $100 million campaign.
From 1989 to 1995, Nicholas was at McGill University where as Director, Major
Gifts he was responsible for the development of its major gift fundraising
program. His model for decentralized major gifts fundraising received in
the 1994 Gold Medal for Best Development Program in Canada from the Canadian
Council for the Advancement of Education.
In 1992 he was appointed Executive Director of the McGill Development Office
where he organized the major gifts program in support of McGill's $200 million
capital campaign, at the time Canada's largest-ever fundraising drive.
Beginning his fundraising career with Ketchum Canada in 1984 Nicholas worked
as Campaign Director with Concordia University, Mount Allison University, the
Canadian Cancer Society in Nova Scotia, the Hamilton YWCA, the Halton Presbytery
of the United Church and Mount Saint Vincent University.
